✅ Maximum depth: 30 metres (adults). The maximum safe depth limit for recreational diving is 40 metres.

✅ Course duration: 2‑3 days. No written exam; all practical training in the sea, with 5 adventure dives.

✅ Two mandatory modules: Deep Diving, Underwater Navigation.

✅ Three randomly‑selected modules: Night Dive, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Wreck Diving, Drift Diving, Underwater Photography, Fish Identification, etc.

✅ Age requirement: Minimum 12 years old. Divers aged 12‑14 have a depth limit of 21 metres.

✅ Certification privileges: Access to night dives, 30‑metre deep dives, wreck and drift dive sites. Many liveaboards only accept divers with AOW or higher certifications.

Itinerary

  1. Deposit secures your spot; complete pre‑study before arriving on the island.

    Complete pre‑course learning in advance via PADI instructional videos and exercises.

  2. Day 1: Rest

    Gather at the centre: sign diving documents, check insurance, attend theory lecture and Q&A. (For those who have not watched the videos, please notify us in advance to avoid delaying your study progress.)

  3. Day 2: Meet at the dive boat at 07:55

    Full day: Open Water Diving, Dive 1, Dive 2, Dive 3

  4. Day 3: Meet at the dive boat at 07:55

    Morning: Open Water Diving, Dive 4, Dive 5 (course completed). Certificate will be issued upon successful completion.

  5. Remarks

    The specific schedule is subject to adjustment according to learning progress and weather conditions on the day.

Frequently asked questions

Do you need to know how to swim to get a diving certification?

No, you just need to be able to move in water and not have a fear of water.

Can I get a refund if I fail the course?

Most people can learn as long as they are not afraid of water. No refunds will be provided. PADI course materials will be sent to your email. If you are unable to continue the course due to personal reasons, you may resume training within one year from your first teaching day.

How much is dive insurance?

You may purchase it on your own. Please note that the insurance must cover a depth of 30 meters!

Can I get the certificate if I fail the course?

Certification will be issued based on the instructor's feedback and your learning progress.

Who cannot learn diving?

If you are unsure whether your physical condition allows diving, consult a diving‑medicine specialist first. Do not judge based on your own feelings.

Are there any other extra fees?

Not included: daily service fee ($5 per person), dive insurance (covering 30‑metre depth)

Is it possible to dive with a cold or fever?

Diving is not allowed during a cold, nasal congestion or rhinitis flare‑up. Wait until full recovery before diving. Forced diving may cause middle‑ear or sinus squeeze injuries.

Can you dive while pregnant?

Scuba diving is not recommended throughout pregnancy.
